Elizabeth Jane Hurley is an English actress and model who was a friend of Hugh Grant in the 1990s. When Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral gained international recognition, Hurley accompanied Grant to its Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace gown that featured gold safety-pins. The outfit received immediate public attention. Hurley's involvement with Estee Lauder, a cosmetics maker, has been seen as a defining moment in her career.
